How the Secret Santa round works
You set up a round and share the invitation link. Everyone who opens the link joins with their name – no account is needed. Each person enters up to five wishes. Then I draw the names: nobody draws themselves, and you can exclude pairs in advance who shouldn't draw each other. After opening gifts, you as the host reveal who had whom.
Stay secret until the gift exchange
Everyone only sees who they are giving a gift to – no one else. Even you as the host cannot see other people's pairs. Anyone who wants to ask their Secret Santa a question can do so anonymously: up to twenty messages are possible. The answers come back just as anonymously. This keeps the suspense alive until the very last moment.
Who is Secret Santa suitable for?
Whether it's a family gathering, a circle of friends, or an office Christmas party – the round can be used for any group. Because the invitation link handles everything, participants don't need to install anything or sign up anywhere. I make sure the names are drawn fairly and all wishes end up only with the right person.
Save progress without an email address
Anyone who wants to access their rounds on another device can save their progress with a personal magic word – four words and a number, entirely without an email address or name. This way, all rounds remain accessible no matter where you log in. The round remains saved for up to 60 days after the gift exchange.
Do I need to sign up to join Secret Santa?
No. You simply open the invitation link and join with your name – no account required.
Can the host see who drew whom?
No. Even the host cannot see other people's pairs. Only after the gift exchange does the host reveal who had whom.
What happens if I want to ask my Secret Santa a question?
You can write up to twenty anonymous messages to your Secret Santa. Your name remains hidden until the host reveals everyone after the gift exchange.
